Surfing in the Island of Barbados is quite under estimated . During our winter months the trade winds blow large Atlantic swells to the Carribbean.this lights up our south coast with waves for 6 months surf spots like freights Bay ,South point score some consistent 2-4 ft waves , ideal for your beginner surfers & children .Drill Hall (Brandons) as it is nick named is a bit more consistent often picking up both southerly & Northerly swells as the currents join at Needems point . Drill Hall quiet often gets waves in the 4-6ft range holding up to 10ft waves on occasion. A large north swell will also give us waves on the west coast of the island however this is less consistent but amazing surf when you get it .
